Blepharitis is inflammation of the eyelids, commonly affecting the roots of the eyelashes. It may be associated with dandruff or the use of cosmetics. It may be helped by cleaning the rims of the eyelids with a cotton bud and salt or bicarbonate solution.

Herbs, natural remedies and supplements are all helpful for this condition. It’s important to bathe the eyes 3 times a day with warm salt water. Use cold chamomile tea bags as compresses to soothe the eye.
